Virginia Beach in the fall

My dad rolled out of his home for a trip in mid-September, and as any good daughter should do, I went to "house-sit".  The weekend conveniently fell on Anne's birthday, so we piled in with kiddos in tow and celebrated!  Summer came in town to visit, too, so we had come quality time with her, and the weather was perfect!  A few pics from the weekend-

It was time-  she was ready!  The first week of September brought on a new chapter for Miss Finn... She began a small preschool program, and she loves it!  She talks about school endlessly, and she gets so excited on school days. Bittersweet for me for about one second, until I realized what I could accomplish solo in a four hour time span, and life was good again.

Maine

Two weeks of Boothbay Harbor, Maine-  we played hard and wore the little one out every single day!  Her New England side was coming out in full force by the end of the trip... blue lips in the water and all-  so many photos taken, but here are some fun ones of the babes and the family.  She stayed in the water the majority of the time, and as you can see,  she is walking AWAY from me in most of the photos... independence.  When we weren't beachin' it, we were visiting with family, hiking, and eating yummy food.  The trip has become an annual visit for us, and each year we find a reason to extend our stay a bit longer.
