St. Patty's

We are loving the new downtown location we've acquired since this time last year-  easy access to all the happenings downtown, including the great St. Patrick's Day parade.  Ellen, Ahren's cousin, bravely spent her college spring break with our crew and joined in on the fun, and Carlyle and his parents came, too.   This time last year Finn was just really starting to walk, and Charlotte wasn't a glimmer... link HERE to last year's parade.  

    

No nap Ritt

People keep asking me how it has been going from one baby to two babies... Charlotte is easy... it's the toddler that is killing me.  She is the best, but man, she sucks up all my energy these days.  We hit the two's overnight, and it is no joke.  First up is her refusal to nap on many days- usually the days I need her to nap the most (that would be any weekday).  And I documented it... the whole time I took these pics she was demanding to get down, and she got more and more frustrated as I continued to shoot.  Even grumpy, she's pretty cute. 

My girls' visit

I have the best friends in the world... the very best!  Such a fun time when they came from all over Virginia to meet in Raleigh for a weekend and say hey to Charlotte.  Although we couldn't talk Ahren into babysitting everyone as he had when they flew to Michigan to meet Finn, we still celebrated!

Duke Gardens

We ventured out with new baby to the beautiful Duke Gardens in Durham for a gorgeous walk one morning-  Finn is at a stage where staying in the house has become an impossibility and makes for a really long day, so we are out and about all the time!  Also, she has started dressing herself, and this means that a dress is often a required portion of her wardrobe... because Cinderella wears dresses.

Baby Ritt

She's here, and we're in love!  I had the best intentions to have a full blown newborn photography session with this sweet bundle, but somehow it never happened!  I have grabbed the camera when I can, and I find with time, it's getting easier to do this more often, so there will be more to come, including some great pics of Charlotte with her big sister, Finn.  If you follow MasonDee on Facebook (HERE is the link), you have already seen some of these, but here are a few of my faves from Charlotte's first week of life!
