Virginia, Continued...

Weeks later, and I'm finally getting Finn's Easter photos posted.  A weekend at the river and Easter egg hunts with the babes... she didn't quite understand what it was all about, but she had a good time at least pretending... 

Opening Day, 2012

     I was reminded this morning by the hubs that today is the 100th anniversary of the opening of Fenway Park, and so it's only appropriate that I get these pics of the twins up today.  On Opening Day (is that a proper noun?)  this year, Ahren "surprised" Finn with her first REAL Red Sox hat.  And then he demanded that photos be taken to continue their tradition started last year... click HERE (and this flashback is a must!) to see the babes on her first opening day... 

     In case you were wondering, you can tune in at 2:00 today to watch the festivities of the anniversary celebration... I know we'll all be watching.  He's lucky I love baseball. 

   Oh, and by the way... the Orioles are in first place.  Just sayin'.  And yes, O's gear still needed.  

At the Beach

A sweep of Virginia two weeks ago allowed for visits with many friends and family.  Finn and I started the trip in Virginia Beach for two days with Dad- an afternoon on the beach  and a morning stroll on the boardwalk down in front of King Neptune.  So much fun!  

Leaving the basket for the bunny...

One of the traditions we are starting with Finn is leaving her Easter basket out a week before the holiday so that the Easter bunny can come and get it to take back to his home to fill  with goodies.  She was all about carrying her basket around the front yard, but she didn't want to leave it outside for the bunny.  We kept having her set it down, and she kept going to get it to bring back inside...

Finn and Papa

We celebrated Ahren's dad's birthday a few weeks ago when they came to visit us, and we all had a great time!  The weather didn't necessarily cooperate, and my poor mother-in-law was stricken with a serious case of the flu (which is why she's not in any of the following photos!), but we still managed a trip to the Durham farmer's market and the Duke gardens.  Finn and her Papa were best buds the entire weekend...
