July 4th- Part 1

The Rittershaus crew has just returned from a two week visit to extended Rittershaus crew in Boothbay Harbor, and with all the extra help with Finn, I was able to get all caught up on photos and completely organized for the fall photo season!  Many blogs posts are ready to go-  hoping to stay on top of it as family is after me for pics.
We packed up and headed to Virginia Beach for what ended up being the hottest fourth of July I can ever remember-  better to be at the beach than in the city!  We spent the first part of the week at my dad's where we were able to beach it, boat it, and eat a lot!  Finn was not the biggest fan of the ocean because the waves scared her, but we had her converted by the time we left town!  It was a great time because not only did we spend time with Dad, but Mom, Chuck, and Summer were all in town, too, so we got to see everyone!

Strawberries are a necessity for every July 4th, right?
Finn would chase us to try and keep us from going swimming...

the thrill of the ocean...

But we managed a few smiles...
