Christmas Visitors

We returned from the river to be greeted by my incredible friends- here for some Christmas cheer!  Brandon and Finn go way back now... love seeing them together as they get older.  Parents got a night out on the town, and babies had lots of play time together.

Had to feature the sweet Santa sweater...

a toast...

When my granddad passed away in early December, we headed straight for the river and his beloved home.  We always spend evenings on the front porch watching the sun go down and enjoying the water when we visit, and on the first night on this trip, despite the circumstances, it was no different. It's what my granddad would have wanted.  It was warm enough for Finn to play in the front yard, and I grabbed the camera to capture her smiles.

Ahren's Birthday and Batalis Visit

Yes... I'm very out of order with these posts...
Ahren's birthday fell on a weeknight- just a few days after out anniversary and a few days before Finn's first birthday, so we celebrated at home with funfetti cake and spaghetti.  Sounds like my perfect birthday meal.  Finn loved q.t. with her pops, and she got to practice blowing out the candles in prep for her own party.
Other photos date back to a weekend sometime this fall-  a visit from our old friends in Charleston!  We hadn't seen Nick and Gretchen for about a year and a half-  It was fun to not only see each other but to have our babies meet!  Denny is just 2 months younger than Finn.  We are glad to be closer to Charleston so that we can see them much more frequently...

Happy Birthday!

...wishing for the Pats in the Super Bowl, perhaps?

Homecoming at VT

Happy New Year!  Finishing up stray photos- a weekend in October, and Finn's first visit to a Virginia Tech football game!  She didn't make it into Lane Stadium because Lisa was nice enough to take her home with Max to play, but she had a great time at the parade and the tailgate!

Out early for the parade... it's bad when Mama grabs the wrong hat while packing... a bit small
