We've always wanted to go check out Chapel Hill and UNC, so we took advantage over the college Christmas break and headed that way... Frigid temps, but we (Finn- I was too pregs) ran and played on the campus and walked the streets. It was special for me, too, because my grandfather, originally from Scotland Neck, North Carolina, went to UNC in the early 40's, and I had never visited.

Christmas and New Year's
We had a really nice and really low key Christmas and New Year's because we were certain that Baby Ritt would want to come early, so we stayed close to home and enjoyed being in our new place!

Christmas Treein'...
Soooo... our new little Baby Ritt is here! Charlotte Todd Rittershaus was born last Monday, January 7th, and no, I haven't posted photos because having a toddler and a baby is no joke. Despite my mom being here for a week, there was no time for pictures, but I'm determined to change that today or tomorrow. I'll post asap. In the meantime, I am still in December with pics to share of Finn's Christmas season. These photos were from my birthday, when we hit up the Farmer's Market and bought our tree and got to decorating for our first Christmas in our new house.
Off to the market... and Ahren is enthused. |
The tree- and I'm loving Ahren's lumberjack shirt in honor of the occasion |

Our homecoming wasn't exactly how we pictured, with an angry little person in tow... |
